The most important line from the new 'Star Wars' teaser

Earlier in the day at a panel at the Star Wars Celebration fan event, Hamill admits that he "lies all the time".

"Ridley on Rey's reaction to Luke Skywalker: "[The Last Jedi will go] deeper into Rey's story. Where do you stand on the no Leia in Star Wars Episode IX?

But this is just one out-of-context line in a teaser we do see Luke giving the film's protagonist Rey some traditional Jedi training, after all. There's so much unsaid about what he's said and what he's done. The film also features returning stars John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Peter Mayhew, Andy Serkis, Anthony Daniels, Lupita Nyong'o Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher. After appearing in The Force Awakens, the actress will once again show up on the silver screen in The Last Jedi, and has a fairly large role in it from what we understand. But her moment of recognition came with 2013 web series Ladies Like Us, reports Entertainment Weekly. Hamill said his personal and professional life would have been diminished had she not been part of them. "We pretty much started over", Kennedy adds.

Mark Hamill's Luke Skywalker, who played a smaller role in the last episode, plays a significant part in this trailer.

"Obviously, with Carrie having passed away, it shook everybody", Kennedy says. "What Rian wrote and the performance she ends up giving is an incredible tribute to her talent", the Lucasfilm president added. "I'm trying to use you as therapy to get through this". Fisher completed her work in the film before her untimely death on December 27 previous year.

Kennedy also stated that Todd would have been confused mainly because the actress is "absolutely phenomenal" in The Last Jedi and the filming of it was complete before the actress' demise. Although Fisher was originally expected to appear in the ninth episode as well, Lucasfilm announced that there are "no plans" to digitally recreate her in future films. Apparently, there was some sort of confusion or miscommunication, though, according to Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, who was speaking at Star Wars Celebration today. "It's time for the Jedi to end", partially explaining the film's ominous title.
