Microsoft Releases Wunderlist Replacement with To-Do App Preview

Microsoft Releases Wunderlist Replacement with To-Do App Preview

App which is still in the preview stage will replace the Wunderlist once Microsoft adds all of the best features of the latter to its new To-Do app.

One of the purposes of the app is to help users create to-do lists and reminders, and keep track of tasks with just a single service which comes with nearly the same feature package as Wunderlist.

The notable addition in To-Do is the focused My Day screen, which keeps lists and to-dos hidden until they need to get done.

It's looking like a busy week for the app devs at Microsoft. Organize your day with To-Do's smart Suggestions and complete the most important tasks or chores you need to get done, every day.

To-Do List arrives on Windows 10 as a universal app, so it works on both PCs along with smartphones running Windows 10 Mobile.

The Verge reports that the To-Do list application also incorporates lists with emojis in order for users to easily identify them. According to The Verge, To-Do app bears a striking similarity to Wunderlist.

A preview version of To-Do is rolling out now through the Office 365 admin center and is available on iOS, Android, Windows, and the web.

If you own a Microsoft account, you can use the To-Do facility.

The big deal here is that To-Do is part of the Office 365 family, which means that it can be deployed across large enterprise teams and offers the same level of security as other Microsoft apps.

Since this feature is still new, Microsoft is soliciting feedback about it. It's too early to say if To-Do will be able to match up to the standards set by Wunderlist, but Microsoft made it unambiguously clear. Microsoft Authenticator does not now work on Windows Phones.

Microsoft To-Do is now available to download in Preview across all major platforms including iPhone, Android, Windows and the web today.

To-Do users may use the import tool to bring Wunderlist or Todoist lists and to-dos to Microsoft To-Do. The app is connected to Office 365 and will offer built-in integration with Outlook along with other Office apps father down the line. List sharing, as well as apps for Mac, iPad and Android tablets are in the works.
