Browns have zeroed in on choice with No. 1 draft pick

The start of the 2017 NFL Draft is just over a week away, and the Chicago Bears hold the No. 3 overall pick.

With the number one overall pick in the 2017 National Football League draft and big needs in nearly every position, the Cleveland Browns don't plan on adding another veteran quarterback to the mix, nor are they going to use their first pick on a rookie QB coming out of college.

Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett speaks to the media during the 2017 combine at Indiana Convention Center.

We assume it's Trubisky anyway - he's generally regarded as the top quarterback option in this draft, is an OH native and is someone who is easy to see operating a Hue Jackson offense and helping revive the Browns.

There has been plenty of talk in the last week regarding the Cleveland Browns and which player will be taking first overall in the NFL Draft.

Out of all the teams in the draft, the Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans are poised to improve on last season as both teams have two first round picks. (The price to land Myles Garrett figures to be especially high.) For those reasons I believe that most teams in the top 10 will probably be more motivated to move down than up. "He's got some ability and talent and we look forward to him trying to establish himself here and have a chance to compete to be the starting quarterback".

The Browns took Osweiler - and his $16 million guaranteed salary - from Houston in March as part of a trade that also provided a second-round pick in 2018.

Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com reports that North Carolina quarterback Mitchell Trubisky is still under serious consideration by the Browns with their top pick.

Both Julius Peppers and Lawrence Taylor went No. 2 overall in their respective drafts. This is Jacksonville - the team that has not had the greatest draft record of late. It is not hyperbole to say that it will define their tenure and will make or break the franchise for years to come.

This year, the Cleveland Browns embark on the second season of what has been one of the most highly scrutinized building plans in the history of the NFL. We think no matter how prepared you are, there's always a lot of uncertainty in the draft. If I were a GM and my team had to play this weekend, given the choice of Trubisky and Webb, I'd draft Webb. "The biggest thing is just the accountability thing of calling you out, being in your face, and there's really nothing you can do about it".

"We do think our roster will move in the right direction". "We will feel better about this year just because we have had more time to prepare and work with our entire scouting staff and coaching staff throughout the year", Brown said.
