Sean Payton: Saints working to gather information on Gareon Conley accusation

Ohio State corner Gareon Conley was projected to be a first round pick in this year's National Football League draft but that may not be the case anymore.

Two of Conley's friends who were also at the hotel told police Conley had no physical contact with the accuser, and they insist the woman was just angry she had been told to leave the room.

Speaking to WOIO-TV in Cleveland, Kevin Spellacy, Conley's attorney, described the allegations as "ludicrous and ridiculous".

Cleveland police have not filed charges against Conley in connection to the case. The alleged victim claims that Conley asked her to have "a foursome", but that she declined and offered to watch the other couple have sex in the hotel bathroom, according to TMZ Sports. She said she decided not to stay with her friends and went with Conley back to his room.

Police radio traffic coming from downtown Cleveland's Westin Hotel after 3 a.m. Sunday, April 9 sheds light on the moment officers arrived on scene: "Officers on scene, no call back - 23-year-old female conscious and breathing, victim of a sexual assault".

The NFL Network reported Tuesday that Conley would not attend draft events in Philadelphia amid the allegations. Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins, who played his college ball at Ohio State, even said he wants the team to draft Conley with their No. 14 overall pick. However, investigators have reached out to him and are scheduling an interview with him, according to Ciaccia.

ESPN's Adam Schefter added that sources close to Conley have said they have three statements from different witnesses saying Conley wasnever alone with the accuser and that he is innocent of the charges.

The victim told police that she had met Conley while with some friends in an elevator at the hotel and chose to go with Conley back to his room.

The report states that the woman and Conley eventually walked into the bathroom before Conley allegedly unbuttoned her trousers and pulled them down. According to the report, she said, "No, stop, it hurts", but Conley did not stop.

After being propositioned, the victim said she didn't want to take part.

The police report says the woman was taken to the hospital for an examination.
