The new 'Mario Kart' is the best 'Mario Kart' game ever made

Recently, Nintendo Switch console owners conveyed their frustrations about "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" on several forums and Reddit threads, as cited by Toms Hardware. And in the ominous shadow of all this success a new trend echoes across the internet: "This makes up for the failure of Wii U".

The Wii U version shamelessly gouged consumers with oppressive DLC offerings that forced gamers to shell out unreasonable amounts of money for certain racers and customizations.

Climbing to fifth in the all-formats chart was none other than The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, a feat attributed to a boost in Switch sales encouraged by the arrival of both Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and replenishment of console stock in the region. Even remade tracks, like SNES Rainbow Road or F-Zero's Mute City, have remarkable detail that is noticeable whether you're playing handheld or on a TV. The hardware was a welcome upgrade from its predecessors. Plenty of proud, experienced karters might scoff at this idea, and for them, turning Smart Steering off is as easy as pausing the game and pressing a button. It has a current Metacritic score of 93 and is the highest-rated game in the series in 15 years.

Motion controls were replaced with a gamepad which included a touch screen and a stylus. The Mario RPG games are known for its odd sense of humor and nonsensical take on classic RPG adventures. All Wii U DLC included, graphically sound, controls work well.

Most players are fans of variety and diversified rosters. The more people who own Mario Kart 8 Deluxe means that more people will be enthusing about it and the new console it has been released on, which results in a positive cycle.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has only been on the market for a few days but it has already broken a record. The most common are a notification in the game's multiplayer lobby that "a communication error has occurred", a bug that makes the same items appear many times in a row, and abrupt changes in other players' locations. This is helped with the optional wheel accessory, allowing players to steer their karts instead of using the small joysticks on the Joy-Con controllers. While I've broken out the game once or twice in the previous year or so for group gatherings, it's largely gathered dust on my shelf as other new games appeared to play. If not, do you plan on picking it up?
