Putin says he 'didn't really talk' to Flynn at Moscow dinner

"I haven't seen, even once, any direct proof of Russian interference in the (U.S.) presidential election".

Putin made the comments during an exclusive interview that will air on June 4th at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT during the premiere of "Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly" on NBC.

Kelly said that Putin hinted that the Central Intelligence Agency could have even been behind the hacking, noting that many people were once certain that Moscow was behind the assassination of former U.S. President John F. Kennedy. "Good job. Your lives must be boring".

Kelly continued to push Putin.

It was always doubtful Putin, a former KGB agent and spin master, would do anything but rebuke accusations of Russian involvement.

He then suggested that perhaps American hackers are to blame and found a way to divert the blame onto Russian Federation, pointing to a conspiracy theory about President John F. Kennedy's assassination in 1963 to support his own idea. "Not for the United States, but the leadership".

Putin also said he had no idea if the Russian ambassador to Washington had held contacts with the Trump campaign before the November election.

"This is just another load of nonsense".

"I don't know about this proposal".

"I want to ask those individuals directly, 'Did they have that kind of pressure?'" Warner said, referring to Coats and Rogers.

Speaking at Russia's annual showcase economic forum in Saint Petersburg on Friday, Mr Putin slammed accusations that Moscow meddled in the election.

"I just find it awesome how you created a sensation where there wasn't anything at all". And out of this sensation you created a weapon of war against the president.

Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed he had limited interaction with former White House national security adviser Michael Flynn during a dinner hosted by Russian TV network RT in 2015.

Putin said that he had not sat in the seat for much of the dinner, and that he barely spoke to Flynn. "I didn't even really talk to him. That's the extent of my acquaintance with Mr. Flynn", Putin said.

"This sums up my entire acquaintanceship with Mr Flynn". Do you think, an ambassador from any place in the world or from the USA reports to me daily as to whom he meets with and what they discuss? Putin asked, before saying: "Have you all lost your senses?" Do you think we're gathering compromising information on all of them right now or something?

Lawmakers should get the chance to hear from fired FBI Director James Comey - and President Donald Trump "is better served by getting all this information out".

Putin has continuously denied direct Russian influence in the US election, but earlier this week he said he wouldn't put the task past a "patriotic" Russian hacker.

His interpreter - who sounded indignant - located an occasional colloquialism, like "Every action has an equal and opposite reaction".
