Ariana Grande joined by other stars in Manchester

Grande emerged onstage for the One Love Manchester concert, appearing teary-eyed and emotional as she performed her hits "Be Alright" and "Break Free".

"Manchester, I love you with all my heart", Grande told her fans at the concert.

Others set to perform include Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Take That.

Oasis' lead vocalist Liam Gallagher surprised the audience and sang the band's hit "Live Forever". He sang and offered encouraging words to the crowd, who held inspirational signs in their hands.

Perry, who performed a broken down version of "Part of Me" and her chart-topping single "Roar", wore a short white minidress that she initially covered with a feathered jacket. "I think that the kind of love and unity you're displaying is the kind of medicine the world really needs". "Let no one take that away from you".

Well, it wasn't long after the concert was kicked off that Twitter was reacting to the show! "And this love that you choose will give you strength, and it's our greatest power".

"I want to thank you for coming together and being so strong".

The singer continued to reference London throughout the Black Eyed Peas' set with Ariana Grande, at her fundraising concert on Sunday 4th June, leaving fans bewildered. She was joined by several other artists and celebrities.

"I don't feel or smell or hear or see any fear in this building. All we feel here tonight is love, resilience, positivity", Williams said.

Ariana's mother Joan, who was instrumental in helping get young fans to safety after the Manchester attack, was also present at the One Love Manchester gig, walking through the crowds and urging fans not to be scared.

John Legend, Sheryl Crow, Ellie Goulding and Fifth Harmony all tweeted their respects for the star, while British journalist Piers Morgan apologised to Ariana after initially criticising her for leaving the United Kingdom immediately after the Manchester attack.

Revelers dressed for the occasion, with many wearing tops featuring a bee - a symbol for Manchester - and slogans expressing their love for the city. Both incidents were declared to be terror attacks. Authorities have said the attack started with a van plowing into pedestrians and then involved three men using large knives to attack people in bars and restaurants at a nearby market.

The concert seemed a philosophical success, too, as Grande played host, criss-crossing the evening's lineup of musicians, all of whom pleaded the case for solidarity and love.
