Teen accused of DUI, livestreaming Instagram video of crash that killed sister

An 18-year-old woman who livestreamed a video of herself behind the wheel during a fatal crash has been arrested.

While she was distracted driving, Sanchez veered onto the right shoulder of a California highway and over-corrected, causing the auto to swerve across lanes before crashing through a wire fence and overturning into an empty field.

Bloody visuals from the scene at that point demonstrate Jacqueline's body strewn on the floor, the other young lady in the auto waving for cause and Obdulia conversing with the camera.

"Jacqueline, please wake up!" "I (expletive) love my sister to death".

"I don't know how to feel". I adore my sister... this is the exact opposite thing I thought would transpire'. I don't f**king care at all. I executed my sister. "I know I'm going to jail for life", Obdulia is heard saying after the crash, as Jacqueline's friend is seen trying to flag down help. "If you didn't go out, I'm so sorry".

A teenage driver lost control of her auto while she was livestreaming on Instagram and recorded part of the crash that authorities say killed her younger sister in California.

The video shows Obdulia Sanchez wearing a red baseball cap, rapping to music on the radio.

Ms Sanchez Estrada, meanwhile, was sitting in the back of the auto without a seat belt and was killed when she was ejected from the vehicle. She over-corrected the turn, which caused the vehicle to swerve across lanes, crash through a wire fence and overturn into a field. Obdulia ended up losing control.

She remained in custody Monday in Merced County on suspicion of drunken driving and manslaughter, according to booking records.

"I felt like, yeah, it was a tragedy to see her die like that, but a lot of people need to know like this is real", Hernandez, of Stockton, said. She reported that "Sanchez is refusing to talk to CHP investigators about Friday's deadly crash near Los Banos". She was pronounced dead shortly after the crash.

Jacqueline was about to celebrate her Quinceanera.

Foster said that while certain actions could qualify as reckless or distracted driving, the charges Sanchez is facing outweigh those lesser charges.

Family members confirm to ABC30 in Fresno the video was shot by Obdulia Sanchez.
