Here's Who Won 'The Bachelorette's' Most Boring Season Ever

Here's Who Won 'The Bachelorette's' Most Boring Season Ever

But here's the thing - the Power of the Gap is very real, and they decide to continue on.

The Fantasy Suite with Peter was incredible.

The bachelorette admitted that because of her emotional goodbye to Kraus, who was emphatic about only proposing if he was absolutely sure and not because the show's season finale was set to air, she wasn't as prepared as she could've been at the final rose ceremony. But at the end of the day, something odd happens between Bryan and Rachel. The bold move not only helped him secure the first impression rose, but also, it seems, solidified a permanent place in Lindsay's heart.

"I don't think this show is for you".

Several times throughout Rachel's Bachelorette season, she questioned if Bryan was too flawless.

And finally-and maybe most importantly-that eventual victor, Bryan Abasolo, was not who viewers had predicted would win, going into the episode.

But in the end, it was Bryan whom Rachel chose. Maybe we shouldn't have been so sure? Bryan - the man who consumes Rachel's face whenever they're making out, so it looks like, as my friend says, "a dementor sucking the soul out of a handsome and innocent muggle" - and Rachel are engaged. It's an awkward exchange, but it's a prime showing for Eric and a decent justification for why he should be the next Bachelor. "I got where he was coming from, and that thought process made me question if I'm rushing into this with Bryan". They have an awesome time.

"Alex, we agree", Bryan chimed in. Love him or hate him, Bryan is bringing his A-game. But, he comes with a domineering, meddling mom who literally told Rachel during his home visit that she would kill her if she does her son wrong. "I don't understand why people keep saying that".

He confirms the story by sharing that he "walked by her eyelashes on the floor for two days", which is gross.

Peter should not be the next Bachelor. So when people say stuff like that, like Bryan was the runner-up, like no.

In fact, he being such a catch was what scared the bachelorette the most. But inside of this world, it makes you wonder why our boy is here?

"I saw the potential in him", Rachel noted. She certainly seemed happy, but TODAY's resident "Bachelorette" expert wonders if she made the right decision. Eric then went on to say how his heart was broken before the start of the show.

"I didn't even want to go on the stage". It's like sometimes things are so foggy but there are these brilliant moments with Peter, when things will just come into focus. Rachel assesses that this show and this journey was not for Peter. The end to Rachel's love story didn't play out in a satisfying way, which before the Peter debacle, had very little to do with Rachel being present with Chris Harrison for the entire finale. The couple finally says that neither would have changed the outcome.
