Chelsea back in for Oxlade-Chamberlain

The England global has just one-year remaining on his Gunners contract, but has yet to sign a new one, leading to suggestions he could be on the move, with Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City all interested.

However, Conte wants the club to further reinforce the team and according to an exclusive report covered by Daily Mail, Chelsea have made a move worth 25 million pounds to hire the services of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for the Italian boss.

The Daily Star report that Chelsea's initial £25M bid was matched by Liverpool, and they have now increased it to £35M in hope of landing the England global this summer.

Antonio Conte is desperate for reinforcements, and has grown increasingly frustrated at the lack of transfer activity at the club, and sees Oxlade-Chamberlain as a player who can give Chelsea a really good option at wing-back.

Oxlade-Chamberlain had a fantastic season for Arsenal a year ago, playing in a variety of positions, including right wing, central midfield, and even as a right wing back.

Whether Arsenal will resist a huge bid for a player who is out of contract next summer and has rarely been a regular starter remains to be seen.

"I think in his career he had some bad moments because he had some small injuries", he told reporters. "He's had some small injuries but past year he was much more stable".

"He is today very conscious of his qualities as well, which he was not always, and I personally believe he will be a very great player".
