Terror Attack On CRPF Training Centre In Kashmir's Pulwama, 3 Injured

Militants attacked Central Reserve Police Forces (CRPF) personnel at its Group Training Centre (GTC) Lethpora area of Awantipora in southern Kashmir's Pulwama district during the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.

Five CRPF personnel were killed in the gun battle with militants while two others were injured, the sources said, adding the two militants were netrualised later. IG Ravi said, this was deadliest Fidayeen attack by the Pakistani terrorists in recent times. According to the CRPF, the main building of the camp comprises of three blocks - with Block 1 allotted to accommodate the families of the officials and the Block 3 having a hospital and a control room. When reports last came in, the exchange of firing was going on between the two sides. Two militants were killed and reports said one more is in the building that was being hit by heavy weapons.

The gunbattle between the terrorists and security forces left two jawans injured. They (militants) were trying.

Meanwhile, Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the fidayeen attack. A statement issued to local media said the "blood of martyrs is yielding results".
