Swansea revival continues with win over West Ham

West Ham boss David Moyes said this match should have been called off due to the snow making it too risky for fans to travel to south Wales.

Andre Ayew was involved in three of the goals against his former club, while brother Jordan produced an equally impressive performance and claimed his 10th goal of the campaign from the penalty spot.

It's hard to pick out just one, as it was a brilliant team performance that "danced" around West Ham to "our music" as Carvalhal put it, but I've gone with Andre Ayew.

Federico Fernandez's effort was then blocked on the line by Declan Rice, but in the melee before, the Hammers received another blow as Winston Reid suffered a nasty knee injury.

Already renowned in South Wales for his love of pre and post-match analogies, Carvalhal, who joined Swansea after being sacked by Sheffield Wednesday, revealed a preference for music from the Steel City when it comes to celebrating victory.

Well, those fans who did make the 460-mile round trip were left wishing they hadn't bothered, for Moyes's players did a no-show.

"The opposite is more harder if you are a team that was in eighth or 10th place in November or December and starts losing games to be in the battle to stay up". We had no intensity in our play, we thought we could just stroll about.

These were three more points won in a remarkable run under manager Carvalhal - and despite last weekend's bruising 4-1 defeat at Brighton. I am giving all the credit to my players.

'We've got nine more games and we need to pick points up.

"I put the players in the centre of everything". Kyle Naughton has been heavily criticised all season, but it was one of his best displays this year, while the two Ayew brothers were superb, both showing endless energy and causing all sorts of problems with their pressure off the ball.

"We have had some important victories since I arrived but this was the best performance".

Andy King added a third two minutes after the restart when he swept home after the Hammers defence again failed to clear a corner.
