Comey Says Trump Is Like a 'Mob Boss' in Upcoming Interview

An interview with Mr Comey, in which he is thought to speak candidly about Mr Trump's behaviour and the Russian Federation investigation, will air on Sunday night in the US.

According to CNN, the GOP has already launched a website called "Lyin' Comey," and the party's campaign centers on the way that Comey treated former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election.

"James Comey's publicity tour is a self-serving attempt to make money and rehabilitate his own image".

"Comey is a liar and a leaker and his misconduct led both Republicans and Democrats to call for his firing", she said.

The plan includes a newly launched website named "lyincomey.com" - which now consists of mostly a collection of Democrats saying Comey behaved inappropriately and news coverage of contradictions in his testimony and actions.

Comey was sacked by Trump past year, with the administration saying it stemmed from his handling of the investigation into Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton's private email server, CNN reported. He reportedly saw news of his firing on televisions playing in the room and at first thought it was a prank.

It will be updated as Comey's book and interviews roll out, according to an RNC official.

Comey's memoir is likely to cause an uproar with the president and his supporters and could further hurt Trump's relationship with his chief of staff - reports and rumors have for weeks indicated Trump could be looking to get rid of Kelly, and that Kelly's influence is waning inside the White House. According to Axios, which has a preview of the interview, sources who were present at the taping say the special is "going to shock the president and his team".
