Messi makes shocking comments about Real Madrid players

Neymar has handed Brazil a fitness boost ahead of the World Cup by returning to training with Paris St Germain, however France have suffered a blow with the news that Marseille attacker Dmitri Payet will not go to Russian Federation.

The world's most expensive player was injured on February 25 playing for PSG against Marseille in the French league.

The 20-year-old has not yet made his move to the Parc des Princes permanent having signed on an initial one-year loan deal from Monaco.

As a result Neymar missed out on PSG clinching the league and cup double, as well as the second-leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie with Real Madrid.

"Ney won important trophies here".

PSG have also won both of the club's previous meetings - in the league just before Christmas, and the recent Coupe de France semi-final - this season 3-1.

He is also anxious about how his injured foot will respond to top-class competition, reported Reuters.

Brazil star Neymar has admitted he is in "the most difficult" period of his career ahead of his return from injury for the World Cup.

"The expectations are very high, not just from the fans but from me as well".

The striker said he had feared missing the June 14-July 15 World Cup in Russian Federation in the immediate aftermath of suffering the injury.

"I've started training with the ball. I felt good, at ease", he wrote on Facebook this week.

"Of course I had a little fear, but I'm slowly coming back".

Turning to the 2018 World Cup, Messi said that Argentina would see the tournament as a failure if they didn't reach the semi-finals.

The 21st edition of the FIFA World Cup will kick off on June 14th with hosts Russian Federation taking on Saudi Arabia in a Group A encounter at the Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow.
