Texas A&M among the teams that Texas will host in NCAA regional

The Seminoles welcome 2-seed Mississippi State (31-25), 3-seed Oklahoma (36-23) and 4-seed Samford (36-24) for the four-team regional.

The Seminoles (43-17) became the first team since Wake Forest in 1998 and 1999 to claim back-to-back ACC baseball titles. They failed to reach the super regionals each of those seasons.

Florida State was the automatic qualifier as the Atlantic Coast Conference champion.

The top four national seeds, as announced by the NCAA on Twitter, are the Florida Gators, the Ole Miss Rebels, the Oregon State Beavers and the Stanford Cardinal.

The last program to win three of four ACC titles was Wake Forest in 1998, '99 and 2001. This year also marked FSU's fourth straight appearance in the ACC title game. Freshman Reid Detmers, who replaced junior Bryan Hoeing in the seventh inning, attempted to pick-off the runner at third base, but the ball sailed and FSU tied the game at 8-8. FSU is now 7-1 this season in extra-inning games.

Third baseman Drew Mendoza hit a two-run double in the 10th to give Florida State the lead, and left fielder Reese Albert tacked on an insurance run on a fielder's choice. Louisville could not respond with any runs of their own, and the 11-8 score would stand by the end of the tenth inning.

Walljasper was charged the loss after allowing three runs on two hits in the contest. The Cardinals offense roughed up FSU starter Andrew Karp for seven earned runs on six hits in three-plus innings, overturning what had been 5-1 deficit.

Mann's two-run homer in the third pulled the Cardinals to 5-3, and he led off the fifth with a double.

During the NCAA's selection show on Monday, it was also revealed that Texas is the 13th overall seed.

Arkansas was announced as one of 16 national seeds for the NCAA baseball regionals on Sunday. "We don't have the luxury, like the SEC, that they can lose on Tuesday and their RPI is going to stay high".
