World Cup fever soars in England on #WaistcoatWednesday

Recall that on the way to the semi-finals England in the quarterfinal match defeated Sweden (2:0), and Croatia knocked out of the tournament (2:2, penalties - 4:3).

England manager Gareth Southgate found out a long time ago that superstition was not the way for him, and is trusting his side to reach the World Cup final without having to rely on luck or rituals. Biggest win in the tournament.

Croatia are in the last four for the first time since 1998 but they had to survive two penalty shoot-outs against Denmark and Russian Federation to make it this far.

England play Croatia on Wednesday, July 11 with kick off at 7pm.

"It's nice to hear people enjoying it again, anyway".

"To see the fans, all the videos and how emotional it is to them, we want to do so well and make them celebrate even more".

"Those emotions are what drive us, that is our petrol and how we have come back to a semi-final after 20 years". You can't play much better than they did.

"In honour of the England boss" new-found football fashionista status, we're inviting supporters to grab a waistcoat and button up to beat blood cancer.

"Our country has been through some hard moments recently in terms of its unity and I think sport has the power to do that and football in particular has the power to do that".

"They're getting blamed for what my generation and generations that followed did".
