Manchester City focus on deals for Sterling, Sane and Jesus

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has admitted he missed out on an "exceptional player" in Jorginho. It would have been a mistake if he had come here when he wanted to go to Maurizio and Chelsea.

"I am not disappointed", said Guardiola.

They have made it clear that they will not want players entering the final years of their contracts without some sort of resolution. If they want to come, that's great but, if he wants to go to Chelsea, all the best for him. We will try and find solution for him.

"I think we played a good game".

The 31-year-old has yet to play a Premier League match under Guardiola, and has spent time on loan at Torino and West Ham during the Spaniard's tenure. Eric Garcia is 17 or 18 and played like he is 24 or 25 and Riyad played good in his first game.

Players such as Phil Foden and Brahim Diaz really need to be playing first-team football but allowing them to join a club isn't straight forward, Guardiola has to trust the club.

Pep Guardiola has named Joe Hart in his Manchester City squad for their summer tour of the United States. In City's Premier League opener against Arsenal on August 12, those positions will be taken by Kyle Walker and Fernandinho.

And the former Leicester City player is looking forward to a hard game; Unai Emery's first Premier League outing after he succeeded Arsene Wenger at the end of last season.

"It will be a good experience for them [the young players] to realise they can compete [at senior level] and play well".

The former Wales worldwide told the newspaper: "He's been a top player, he's done a great job at Leicester".

"I need to do what's right for me and my family and that's the decision I'll be making", said Hart.
