"Honor Note 10 unveiled with 6.95" screen and 'GPU Turbo' tech

Huawei's fast-growing Honor sub-brand may or may not be looking to unveil its latest flagship phone on a Western stage at the IFA trade show in Berlin next month, but until then, the Honor Note 10 has gone official in China earlier today ahead of a local commercial launch tomorrow, August 1. While the Note 10 could make a global debut on 30th August, the Honor Play will make its way to India via an exclusive Amazon sale on 6th August. What it does it that it an enhance heat dissipation by 41 per cent and reduce the maximum temperature by 10 degrees Celsius. The brand seems to be targeting the gaming market too, owing to the use of "liquid cooling" to keep the internals from running hot. The Honor Note 10 is a huge phone which has a display that is the size of a small tablet, and we're here to take a closer look at the phone from pretty much every angle, starting with its specifications. At its core, the device runs on a HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset that supports GPU Turbo aided by 6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage.

So you get a 5.84-inch FHD+ display, a Kirin 970 processor, and 128GB of storage. However, the storage for the smartphone can be further expanded using a microSD card of up to 256GB. A pair of state-of-the-art speakers and Dolby Atmos sound enhancements wrap up a truly impressive spec sheet... for a phone that costs as little as CNY 2,799 ($410). The device measures 177 x 85 x 7.65mm, while it weighs 230 grams.

During this first sale, the Honor 9N will be available in two color variants - Midnight Black and Sapphire Blue. With the provided dock, the user can connect the Honor Note 10 with the USB Type-C port to play games on a larger screen. Interestingly, Honor has added a PC-level liquid cooling system called "The Nine" cooling technology. For security, there's a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock.

Honor says it is the first curved-back phone in the world with a color changing design. The smartphone will feature the GPU Turbo which will squeeze out better graphics and battery performance.

The Honor Note 10 comes with three cameras, two of which are included on the back of the device. Both camera setups support full-HD (1080p) video recording. The hardware button for the Double Turbo feature can be used as a shutter when using the camera app.
